WHO ARE WE?
LE Studio YEG is a curated photography studio in the heart of Edmonton, Alberta. It was created by Lindsay Mills and Emilie Iggiotti, two creatives who felt the need to open a collective space for artists, creators and photographers.
The idea of LE Studio started in 2020 and the project was a little different. But we all know what happened in 2020: the world stopped for a few years and that project never came to life.
In 2022, they felt that it was time to focus on this project again. And the timing this time was aligned... they found the perfect location for LE Studio YEG in October 2022 and the rest is history.
LE Studio YEG is also home to our resident makeup artist, the uber-talented Ruth Bancroft.
WHY THIS NAME?
LE Studio YEG is a mix of both of our founders' names: Lindsay and Emilie (LE). It's also a reference to Emilie's roots in France, "le" meaning "the". There you go!
WHY OPEN A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO?
Our founders are creatives, multi-hyphenate people and business owners who are passionate about community and creativity. For years, they have struggled to find a studio that would fit the look that they were looking for. Having travelled to Europe, and the USA, they felt that there was a missing piece in the photography industry in Edmonton, AB. So instead of waiting for someone else to create their dream space, they decided to create it themselves.
